Teachers will have the opportunity to participate and collaborate with leading researchers in the area of pollinator and plant-pollinator landscape research, CSATS science educators, and educators from across Pennsylvania. You will spend a week at Penn State learning about ongoing cutting-edge plant-pollinator research at the Penn State Center for Pollinator Research (CPR) and various research techniques used in this interdisciplinary field. With support from the APPL-RED team, you will develop a research project to implement with your students in the academic year. The classroom research project will incorporate learnings from the workshop, data collected by Dr. Christina Grozinger and others at the CPR as well as plant-pollinator interaction data collected by Master Gardeners of Pennsylvania. Preference will be given for collaborative teams of teachers from the same school or district.
